Week 6. This nifty flower is a combination of two others stitch – the centre is Buttonhole stitch, and the petals are Bullion stitches – quite tricky to do as the Bullion stitches require the thread to be wrapped at least 15 times around the needle before pulling it through. French knots were added in the middle to cover the hole. Stitched with #5 DMC Perle. I obviously did not bother with leaves or stems, but this could be very effective with carefully graded colours in the rows of petals, and I think next time, I would do the centres in a finer thread for a more delicate result.
