I spent the morning on my hands and knees in the garden……weeding. I must have disturbed more than half a dozen frogs as I cut back perennials and cleared debris from a smallish area. Never to miss a photo opportunity, these are some of the pictures I took. There are two different species here, and all of them were less than 30mm in length.
These two are Brown Tree frogs or Littoria ewingii
The darker and more lumpy skinned frog may be the Common Froglet Crinia signifera – it does not look exactly like the Museum Victoria photo, but according to my source, they can have individual variations in patterns and colour.
Then there was this fellow that glided past …….
