For the last three weeks this has been a daily pleasure – breakfast, lunch or dinner….the Raspberry crop this year has been quite sensational, but sadly all good things must come to an end, and they are almost finished. I have a row of Raspberry canes along a fence, about ten metres in length, which have to be netted to prevent the birds eating them, but are well worth the effort. They grow like weeds, sending up new canes that will fruit next year, and nothing seems to stop them spreading, so next year I shall have more. There are canes coming up through the back veranda of my house, a good two metres from the main row of plants, and this has meant they had to travel underneath a concrete path to get there. Such fortitude!
