The little country town in which I live has a small but beautiful lake near its centre. Developed in an old quarry site more than 20 years ago by the local Lions Club, it is now a much loved Reserve and well used spot for locals and visitors. The Victoria Department of Fisheries now stock it annually with rainbow trout and it is a registered small water for public fishing. It is maintained by the local council and a Committee of Management, of which I am a member, and we are very proud of our achievements. In the last few years we have planted over 100 trees of various sorts many are deciduous and provide stunning autumn colour, as well as about thirty rhododendrons and many hundred daffodil bulbs which make a great showing in Springtime. These photos were taken earlier this week, on a very chilly and overcast day.
I’m finding WordPress quite different to use, and still have a lot to learn, perhaps those that are more familiar with it could answer a couple of questions for me. It seems photos upload very slowly, and one can only do one at a time – is that correct? Which method do you find easiest – add them to your library first, or directly into the post? I’m also a bit diappointed that although I have added a couple of badges for the groups to which I belong, they only show text, and not the actual badge. This is also different to Blogger. Any suggestions to make this new venture any easier are gratefully accepted.
